Confirmation and Admission to Holy Communion

Bishop Richard Treloar will be at St John’s Anglican Church on Sunday 18 November at 9:30am for a service of Confirmation and Admission to Communion. Confirmation classes will begin in the coming weeks. If you would like your child to be included, please ring Rev. Brenda Burney on 0439 610 206.


The Blessing of the Animals

On Sunday 30 September we will have a “Blessing of the Animals” at 11.00am on the grassy area at the back of the church, weather permitting. If it is wet or cold, we will have the service in the church. A BBQ lunch will be provided afterward. This is a great opportunity to invite your neighbours, family members and friends. Some chairs will be provided but if you are able, please BYO chair. Please note that there will only be one service on that day.


Sisterhood: She is…Fearless

Monday September 17th, 6pm-7:30pm in St John’s Church Hall. A session to explore how strong women face their fears. $2 entry donation, light supper provided. RSVP/Qs to Von Dubbeld (0400 321 670).


East Gippsland Libraries School Holiday Program

School Holiday Activity Session-Owl Pencil Holder

Come and decorate an owl pencil holder and also design some creative pencil toppers which you can keep.  The activity will include stories and games.  Bookings are essential.  Phone the library or book in person at the library for this free event.

LEGO Club at the East Gippsland Library

Bookings are now being taken for the holiday session of the Library LEGO Club being held at the Bairnsdale Library on Wednesday 24 September from 2.00-3.00pm. LEGO Club is for children aged 5 – 12 and bookings are essential. Phone 5152 4225 or book in person at the library.

Games session-Xbox and Board games

Come and play at the Bairnsdale Library Friday 5 October 9.30am-6.00pm or at Paynesville on Wednesday 3 October from 8.30am-5.00pm.  This is not a supervised event.  Parents may consider staying with their younger children.  Bookings are not required for this free event.
