We’re skipping through the term!

Jump Rope for Heart is well underway and it’s great to see so many children out in the playground skipping with smiles on their faces.

East Gippsland Shire Library Children’s Week Activities

Children’s Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities and runs from 19-28 October.

 

Garden Craft

Come and join in the fun at the library’s Children’s Week activity session and decorate a stake for your garden. The activity session is for children aged 5 – 12 and will also include stories and games. Bookings essential.

Storytime with Dorothy the Dinosaur

Dorothy the Dinosaur will visit special Storytime sessions in Children’s Week. The special Storytime sessions are for children 0 to 5 years of age, and will include stories, songs and a craft activity. No bookings required.

Children’s Week Games Session-Xbox and Board Games

Come and play Xbox games and board games at the library. The Xbox games provided are suitable for the 5 to 12 age group for which this event is being held. This is not a supervised event. Parents may consider staying with their younger children.  No bookings required.

Children’s Week LEGO Club

Junior LEGO enthusiasts are invited to attend our Children’s Week LEGO Club. The sessions will incorporate freestyle creativity as well as some themed construction activities. For ages 5 – 12.  Bookings essential.

Bairnsdale Library, Monday 22 October, 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Paynesville Service Centre (regular monthly LEGO Club), Wednesday 24 October, 3:40pm – 4.40pm

 

Little Athletics Bairnsdale 2018/2019 season starting soon

Season operates Term 4 and Term 1 on Friday afternoons at 4:15pm for approximately 1.5 Hours.

All registrations online via www.lavic.com.au (cash payment accepted during come and try nights)

Come and Try Night Friday 12 October,  4:15pm start at Howitt Park.     

Season Commences Friday 19 October         

Ages: Under 6 - Under 16

(Child must have turned 5 prior to commencement)

Where: Howitt Park Oval

Cost: $120 per Athlete for the season

LEGO Club at the East Gippsland Library

Bookings are now being taken for the holiday session of the Library LEGO Club being held at the Bairnsdale Library on Wednesday 14 November from 4.00-5.00pm. LEGO Club is for children aged 5 – 12 and bookings are essential. Phone 5152 4225 or book in person at the library.
