RAAF Families afternoon tea
It was a great pleasure to travel to the RAAF Base East Sale on Monday afternoon to join some of our RAAF families for afternoon tea. We are thrilled to have so many RAAF families as a part of our School community and to support them as they undertake their Defence duties. We are fortunate to have an experienced and wonderful Defence Force Mentor and Transition Aide in Mrs Amanda Canfield. Amanda organised the afternoon tea and is central to supporting students at School, and families, especially as they move to Sale and when notice of postings is given. Amanda meets with groups of Defence students for social occasions and helps them to organise events such as ANZAC Day services. I thank all those Defence families who were able to meet with members of the School Executive this week and we look forward to providing ongoing support to families.

Project Rockit will be with us on Monday evening for a Parent Support Forum on Bullying and Cybersafety issues. This forum will include:
• Digital literacy about what social media platforms are out there and how young people are using them
• Credible tips and strategies for how adults can best support their young person online
• Additional resources where they can learn more about different social media platforms
• Q&A at the end with our team members
Although aimed specifically at parents of Years 7 and 8, all parents are welcome to attend in the Chapel of St Anne at 6.00PM on Monday 1 April. All Year 7 and 8 students will attend a full day session with the Project Rockit team on Tuesday, focussing on bullying and cybersafety.
