VCE Music Performance Soiree

Last night we celebrated an excellent semester’s work by our VCE Music Performance, Unit 1 and 3 students, at the VCE Music Soiree in the Chapel. It was great to welcome a dedicated group of parents, grandparents and fellow students to support our groups on such a cold night. The audience enjoyed a range of musical items, including an intriguing display by Liam, utilizing the loop pedal in his performance of ‘Lucky’.  Well done also to Kali, Jess, Timothy, Emma and Ruby for great performances. For some of our Unit 1 students this was their first public presentation.

Our Unit 3 students also performed admirably, with moving vocal performances by Ashley and Abby, some presentation poise demonstrated by Andrew on solo flute, moving performances on piano by Ciara, and Filly on violin. The evening’s music concluded with a dramatic performance by Tilda of ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’. Well done to all of our performers and all the best with your preparation for next semester. We have a series of solos and ensemble concerts coming up next term. I invite students, parents and staff to come and listen to some of the amazing music our students are producing. Stay tuned!
