Sisterhood of East Gippsland



What:              The Sisterhood of East Gippsland is a place for women to enjoy themselves, discover the beautiful Truth of who they are and band together with their Sisters to make a difference in our world.

Where:           St John’s Anglican Church Hall, cnr Francis & Service Streets, Bairnsdale.

When:             Fortnightly Monday evenings, 6pm-7:30pm. Includes pizza.

Theme:           Movie Night: Wonder Woman on 6 November. A cinema experience to encourage us to bring out our Inner Warrior and to raise funds for our Keep a Girl in School $500 Project (supporting 8 girls in Uganda                           with sanitary products for 1 year)

Crashendo Movie Fundraiser

Come to see a forward screening of the movie ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ (rated PG), in support of Crashendo, Bairnsdale’s Youth Development Orchestra.  The movie promises to be a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.

East Gippsland Art Gallery

Little SmARTies - Collage with Crystal Stubbs

Children and parents will be taken on a guided tour of the Gallery to look at the Paper Arts Gippsland East exhibition. Children will then participate in a paper collage workshop and leave with their own paper art masterpiece.

Suitable for aged 4 to 6 years

9am-10am Wednesday 25 October

Children’s Week 2017

Children’s Week is an annual event and this year will be celebrated from the 21-29 October.  It is an opportunity for the community to get involved in a variety of events that encourage children and their families to play, learn and grow together.  This year’s Children’s Week theme is ‘Education has the power to transform children’s lives’.  East Gippsland is celebrating Children's Week with many wonderful child and family friendly activities across the region.  We will be launching our 2017 East Gippsland Children's Week Celebration on 21 October at the Lakes Entrance Foreshore 10am-12pm. Join us for a fun filled day with free activities for children and their families to enjoy. The finale will be held at All Abilities Park in Bairnsdale on Friday 27 October 3:30pm-5:30pm. There will be fun activities for children, free show bags, face painting, music, drumming performance, photo booth and a healthy snack provided.  This year we have two competitions.
