There was a genuine feeling of excitement at all our campuses today. The weather has warmed up, the holidays are upon us, our senior students can see the light at the end of the tunnel and the footy finals are well under way.
Our students have had a magnificent term, giving their best efforts in all they have done and representing the School in so many varied and wonderful ways. We have been entertained by a diverse and dynamic performing arts program, enjoyed success on the sporting field and welcomed visitors from Rwanda, Japan and France. Well done to all of our students and those families who have participated in many of these events, or supported as host families. We greatly appreciate your efforts.
I would also like to congratulate our students for their efforts in the classroom this term. It has been pleasing to note the number of students who are actively engaging in their learning program and making their learning visible through SOLO.
SOLO is such a positive part of our educational model, giving all our students an indication of where they are with their learning, how they are progressing and what their next step will be.
I would like to wish all our families a safe and enjoyable holiday. I look forward to seeing our Year 12 students during the second week, as they begin their examination preparation with trial exams, and I look forward to seeing everyone else on Day 1 of Term 4, fresh and full of energy.
Have a great holiday and go ‘Pies!
