Shining stars amidst a galaxy of bright performances.
Gippsland Grammar has had another stellar year, with nearly 40% of VCE students achieving an ATAR score in excess of 80, placing them in the top 20% of the state.
Dux for 2018 is Joshua Strauss, with an ATAR score of 99.85.
Close behind Joshua were Niamh Van Berkel (Sale) 98.45, Jessica Lang (Sale) 98.35, Millie Dunnett (Sale) 98.05, Pierce Kidson-Purry (Longford) 96.8, Isabelle Shelton (Bairnsdale) 96.8, Megan Harrison (Giffard) 95.05, Jeremy Gunther (Bairnsdale) 94.15, Sam Davis (Nungurner) 93.6, Sahas Wijesekara (Traralgon) 93.15 and Isabelle Stanley (Traralgon) 92.65.
Fourteen percent of Gippsland Grammar students achieved a score above 90, placing them in the top 10% in Victoria. The School’s median ATAR score was 77.
Principal, David Baker, expressed his delight at the outstanding results attained by high achieving students, as well as his pride in all those students who achieved their own levels of personal excellence.
‘We are proud of all of our students and congratulate all those who successfully obtained their VCE or VCAL certificates.’
Mr Baker also thanked the dedicated School staff who have worked tirelessly to support the students over many years.
