Scholarships 2024

Gippsland Grammar is an Anglican co-educational day and boarding school for children from ELC to Year 12. We offer a broad academic education, a wide co-curricular program and outstanding success in the VCE years.

There are four scholarships offered at Gippsland Grammar for 2024:

  • Academic Scholarships (now open)
  • General Excellence Scholarships (now open)
  • Music Scholarships (now open)
  • Junior School Entry Scholarships (open for application from Monday 3 April)

Scholarships allow for remission of part tuition fees throughout a student’s education and are subject to satisfactory progress and review. The year levels and number of scholarships offered each year is dependent on the quality of applicants and availability of places.

Academic Scholarships for new students entering Years 5-11 in 2024, or current students entering Year 5, 6, 7 OR 11 in 2024 are awarded on the performance of the student in the scholarship examination held on Thursday 30 March 2023 at the School. An interview with the School Leadership Team for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and supporting documentation.

General Excellence Scholarships for new students entering Years 7-11 in 2024, or current students entering Years 7 OR 11 in 2024 are offered to develop students as leaders and responsible citizens in a global community. These scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated qualities of leadership at school, in their local community and/or through participation in a variety of co-curricular activities. Applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination on Thursday 30 March 2023 and complete an online application with supporting documentation. Short- listed applicants will be interviewed by the School Leadership Team.

Music Scholarships for new students entering Years 5-11 in 2024, or current students entering Years 7-11 in 2024 may be awarded to talented and dedicated students of music who demonstrate strong musical potential. There are recommended minimum standards for each year level, though consideration will be given to students with limited experience who show strong musical potential.
