Year 2 Science

This week Year 2 has had a wonderful time finishing the Science Unit - Push and Pull. We explored friction this week while playing with some Billy Carts, kindly donated by Araluen Primary School. The children had a wonderful time riding Blue Thunder, Pink Power and the Golden Breeze and discovered that steering is not as easy as it looks. There were a few spills but everyone had a magnificent time!

Camp Australia After School Care

Merry Christmas everyone! Camp Australia After School Care has temporarily moved to the Library; we have been in our new location since Monday and the children are enjoying this new space, are exploring the Library, accessing the new games and construction sets. We have continued celebrating Christmas by making Christmas tree decorations from recycled cardboard and glitter, and cards using Christmas stamps. Next week on Thursday 14 December is our Christmas party with yummy food and party games to celebrate the end of term.

We are open throughout the school terms, Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 6:00pm for children 3 to 12 years. All Early Learning Centre and younger Prep students are collected form the Centre or their classroom by a member of Camp Australia. Feel free to drop in to meet our co-ordinator Kelly and assistant Mary; check out the changes to our service and new program. We are located in the Library, with access from Whimsy Walk.

As always - for a fun time, come to after school care.

Wishing all our families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

See you all again in Term 1. Thank you for your support of the after school program this year.

Kelly.
