Our Campuses

Bairnsdale Campus

The Bairnsdale campus of Gippsland Grammar opened its doors in 2006 and is situated on Bullumwaal Road at Wy Yung, overlooking the beautiful Mitchell River backwater. This vibrant campus caters for more than 100 students, from K-6, who enjoy the many extra-curricular opportunities available. Our modern facilities include a vibrant Early Learning Centre for three and four year olds. Children travel to the Campus from across East Gippsland and beyond. Buses are available from most satellite towns and the broader region.

Parent engagement in their child’s learning is openly encouraged. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to assist in the classroom, or to simply enjoy being part of their child’s educational journey by attending weekly Fellowship and the many other exciting events throughout the year.

The opportunity to develop leadership skills is highly encouraged, as is ‘student voice’. All students participate in our weekly Fellowship, with designated classes responsible for running the event each week. Leadership and student voice is also developed through participation in both the Student Representative Council (SRC) and the Green Team. The SRC organise fundraising events in response to identified School community needs. The Green Team has helped the Bairnsdale campus build a strong environmental focus around all areas of our curriculum, encouraging students to explore the responsibilities they have in the wider world.

The Bairnsdale campus of Gippsland Grammar is an exciting and busy place to learn. ‘Compassion, Leadership, Excellence and Responsibility’ are core School values, as is ‘Respect’, which underpins all that we do.

St Anne's Campus

Our historically significant St Anne’s campus opened in 1924 and is situated on the grounds of the original Church of England Girls’ School Sale. The St Anne’s junior campus provides a contemporary and engaging education within a naturally beautiful and historic setting. The many trees, green spaces and gardens are appreciated daily by about 200 students and regularly admired by family and friends. We have a skilled and dedicated staff that is passionate about learning; modern facilities and an inclusive and friendly Community that includes an Early Learning Centre for three and four year olds. The state-of-the-art Kukun Kalak building was opened in 2019 and is an education hub for the campus’s years 3 and 4 students.

Our campus culture is one of respect, success and support. We celebrate our achievements and strive for each student and staff member to continually achieve their personal best. While the School strives for academic excellence and offers academic scholarships each year, we warmly welcome students of all abilities.

Bus transport is available from the Latrobe Valley, Glengarry, Newry, Stratford, Cowwarr, Heyfield, Maffra, Meerlieu, Yarram, Longford and numerous other small towns and rural communities.

St Anne's offers students academic challenges, cultural experiences, problem solving tasks and physical activities that encourage discovery and develop responsibility. Our students will be encouraged to participate in imaginative activities, engage in and develop an appreciation of the visual and performing arts and be fit and active in order to experience the joy of learning - and life.

Garnsey Campus

The Garnsey Campus is our Year 7 – 12 campus and is located on a 10 hectare site which was originally the Gippsland Grammar Boys School and upon amalgamation with St. Anne's Church of England Girls Grammar School, became the secondary Campus of St. Anne's and Gippsland Grammar School, now known as Gippsland Grammar.

We have approximately 600 students enrolled at Garnsey Campus with an average of 100 students in each year level. Students travel daily from as far Lakes Entrance in the east, Morwell in the West, Yarram in the south and many places in between. With designated Gippsland Grammar buses transporting students from East Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley, we also rely heavily on Government system buses to transport students. Blackwood House, our Boarding House is adjacent to the campus and is a home away from home for up to 50 Garnsey campus students.

The 10 hectare campus is a spacious environment which supports student learning and co-curricular activities. The Chapel of St Anne sits at the centre of the campus and is the venue for weekly Chapel services and some wonderful lunchtime and evening concerts and parent information evenings. Other facilities include a designated Year 9 Centre on the North West corner of the campus which enables a team of dedicated middle years’ teachers to support Year 9s in a dynamic year of growth. Adjacent to the Year 9 Centre is our Outdoor Education Department which conducts challenging outdoor adventures as part of the Year 7 – 9 curriculum and within our amazing Gippsland region. Other facilities include a well-resourced Information Services Centre, the Laurie Payne Gymnasium, Garnsey Hall, an 8 lane athletics track, oval and sporting fields, and Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Science and general classrooms which have been refurbished to promote visible learning initiatives and academic care.

Our campus caters for student learning in a calm and disciplined environment where individual excellence is paramount and where its considered okay to work hard and excel. We offer a range of VCE, VET and VCAL at Years 11 and 12. Students in Years 7-12 are supported by our Pathways Department where additional support or extension opportunities are required. It is our aim to 'know' each student and work with them to reach their potential as embodied in our Academic Care model.

Students are also well supported through a variety of pastoral care initiatives and encouraged to always achieve personal excellence and to value being part of a respectful community. It is our aim to foster leadership in each student, both through designated roles such as Prefects, House Officials, Community Service and Class Captains and through an active Students Representative Council. Our students are supported by quality and professional teachers who engage in regular and ongoing professional learning projects and who provide expertise in their subject areas and in pastoral care.

At our Garnsey campus our School values, Compassion, Leadership, Excellence, Responsibility and Respect are embodied in all that we do and our students are testament to these values.
